Each year, the end of January marks what is considered by the Trotting profession as the World Trotting Championship: The Prix d’Amérique-Marionnaud. The ultimate contest at the selective Paris-Vincennes track, the Prix d’Amérique attracts a great crowd, during the week, named by the Cheval Francais as the Semaine Internationale.
In concurrence with this prestigious event, the PRIX D’AMERIQUE SALE also takes place and TROTTING PROMOTION equally organise EXPO- ETALONS including the new exhibition - LE VILLAGE INTERNATIONAL DU TROT which presents information on trotting abroad, as well as, L’ART DU TROT, an Equestrian Art Sale, specialising in trotting.
The PRIX D’AMERIQUE SALE takes place over three successive days in the week preceding the Prix d’Amérique-Marionnaud with a mixed session on the Wednesday afternoon, an evening consecrated to Breeding (Mares in-foal or coming out of training and Stallion shares) on Thursday and finally a prestigious evening reserved for horses-in-training, including those of Classic or Semi-Classic value on the Friday.
The date and venue of the PRIX D’AMERIQUE SALE make it the best sale of the season. In addition to the dams of LAZIO DU BOURG 1’13 (Critérium des 3 ans and Prix de Normandie gr1), ONYX DU GOUTIER 1’13 (Prix de l’Etoile gr1 2005, Stallion) and MIRAGE DU GOUTIER 1’11 (Clôture du GNT gr.2 2006, Stallion) sold as horses-in-training, the Classic KENYA DU PONT 1’12 (Critérium des 5 ans gr1), LIBERTE 1’13 (Prix Gaston de Wazières gr2), MIRAGE DU GOUTIER 1’11 (Prix de la Haye gr2) , KID WOOD 1’15 (Prix Legoux Longpré gr2) and also MAMBO KING 1’14 (Prix Ephrem Houel gr2), JAMES DE L’ITON 1’12, MACHO DES PLATANES 1’15, NYPSON DE GERBEROY 1’13 , ODESSA GENTILLE 1’13 recently knocked down alongside LUZA, MY LOVE JET, OURAGAN DU GOUTIER and ODEON SQUARE.
Yet again, the proposed catalogue is rich and varied, with the presence of the Classic NINA MADRIK in foal to KOREAN on Thursday evening. Friday evening is just as exciting with over a hundred excellent performers on the market and a group of promising “ Q ” 3 y-o's, in particular QUICK WOOD, son of LOVE YOU and DIRA, winner of the important Prix Emmanuel Margouty gr.2 and Ourasi at Vincennes. The promising talent catalogued from both Sweden and Italy should also be noted.

Focusing on horses ready to run, the session will open with 79 lots including the part dispersal sale of the Ecurie du Haras de l’ISOP, presenting a number of yearlings.
Among those ready to run, OBI D’URZY (n°41), 3 y-o winner at Vincennes and runner in the 2005 Prix d’Essai, OK MAX (n°43) winner at Vincennes, Spring 2006, PEYRACO (n°66) consistent all year, the useful KABIR (n°5), LASER DU CHENE (n°22), MAXIME DU VIVIER (n°74), the very well bred NARBONNE (n°72), and NORLING DE PADD (n°51).

Youngstock and Europe on the menu...
There are many broodmares with remarkable pedigrees entered in this session consecrated to breeding, such as NINA MADRIK (n°165) (by COKTAIL JET, close relative to CHAMPENOISE) winner under the saddle of the Prix du Président de la République at 4, having been second to NELSON DE VANDEL in the Critérium des Jeunes. Presented in the dissolution of the syndicate and in foal to the promiding stallion KOREAN (to whom many ‘’Q’’ ran at Vincennes this winter), she should make a sales record for a broodmare.
Other good broodmares are included in the catalogue, amongst them, GERBE BLEUE (n°166) mother to LEAR FAN and NORA DE LOU, presented in foal to JAG DE BELLOUET, GRACE D’URGA (n°173) grand-daughter of MORGAFLORE presented in foal to COKTAIL JET , NAOMI DE LOU (n°162) (sister of GIESOLO DE LOU by EXTREME DREAM) presented in foal to YOU, ERATO (mother of IVORY PEARL) (n°118) presented in foal to JOYAU D’AMOUR, as well as numerous daughters of Classic broodmares including, LADY PERLE (n°167) by FINE PERLE) presented in foal to NELSON DE VANDEL, a daughter of BELLA KADESH presented in foal to NICE LOVE (n°116), as sister to PUNCH WINNER (n°170) presented in foal to JEANBAT DU VIVIER, MELBA VICI (n°135) 3/4 sister to ORLANDO VICI, presented in foal to CEZIO JOSSELYN as well as a numbe r of mares coming out of training.

Exclusively given over to horses-in-training, the evening session proposes to be an exceptional catalogue, horses of great value and a few Classics will share the spotlight with the qualified and unseen “ Q ” 3 y-o's.
Amongst them, QUICK WOOD (n° 295) should fuel a good battle and perhaps even a record bid, the son of LOVE YOU and DIRA is, up til now, the best 2004 colt to have been seen on the track, his pedigree is equally attractive, but he will not be the only one attracting attention, the good QUARDA DU RIB (lot 293) goes through the ring, along with the confirmed QUARTES (246) and QUE SERA NUEVA (227) and recently winning 2 y-o's such as QUARTZ DE BOUGY (262) et QUEL PIN (237), QUIBUS DE NAPPES brother NIKY presented qualifié-inédit (288), just like QUEIROS DE JAY brother to LAURO MAYOR by TENOR DE BAUNE (318), or QUAYA MAKAN brother to OCTILERIE (242), and the list goes on...
