Maintained Average on Day 1

The first session of the Selected Yearlings Sale at Vincennes, the 7th September 2005, consecrated to ‘established’ stallions, registered an average of 26 386 € , a 20% increase on that of 2004. The overall figure on the other hand saw a decrease of 13% following the increase of the last two consecutive years (+ 42 %). The percentage of lots sold was set at 62% in a very selective market.

The Top Lot by COKTAIL JET

Lot N° 57, half brother to NELSON DE VANDEL by COKTAIL JET was acquired by the Ecurie des des CHARMES for 100 000 €. L’Ecurie des CHARMES also gained a son of GOBERNADOR sent out by the same breeders Haras de Vandel (N° 45) for 60 000 € . A little later it was the turn of lot N° 59, a close relation to ARNAQUEUR by VIKING’S WAY to initiate a fight which turned to the advantage of M J LUCK for 70 000 €. Jean-Luc BIGEON, the AGENCE NORMANDIE TROT (M Gasselin) and M. GOZLAN were all very active during the dinner sale.

1st 1 2nd Season Sires Session Yearling Sales The Top Lot by LOVE YOU at 125 000 € & a general Vincennes Yearling Catalogue average of 20 528 €.

The second Dinner-Sale, 8th September, reserved for Yearlings issued from first and second crop stallions produced a figure of 1 020 500 €, a 60% increase on 2004, which was a relatively weak year.

Furthermore, in a selective market, the registered average on the aggregate of the Vincennes Yearling Sale (The 7 – 8th September Sales) was established at 20 528 €, 13,6% up on that of 2004.

The Top Lot by LOVE YOU

The sister to GIESOLO DE LOU by LOVE YOU, an exceptional pedigree made a top lot of 125 000 €, acquired by M. J Luck after a battle with M Cl Guedj. LOVE YOU was also the author of the second highest lot of the evening at 70 000 € , for a foal out of a sister of GAI BRILLANT sold to the Ecurie des Charmes The average for the son of COKTAIL JET was set at 42 200 € for the 10 lots sold. Other stallions included LOOK DE STAR of which there was a son bought by Stefan MELANDER for 29 000 €, who also gained YEARLING D’OR. Yearlings by GRASSANO, INDY DE VIVE, JARDY, JOYAU D’AMOUR , KERIDO DU DONJON, KITKO, KOREAN were equally noted.
